how about a "post a photo of your holiday tree" thread?

I don't think we've ever had a thread like that, but I sure would like to see lots of photos or descriptions of DU-ers' decor!

I'll have to post my pic tomorrow. But tonight we decorated our small fir with two kinds of silver bells, silver balls frosted and also shiny, my mother's collection of sterling souvenir spoons that she collected from everywhere she traveled (tied with loops of red yarn for hanging), tiny candy canes, little ornate copper and green glass lanterns that were my grandmother's, bitty animal ornaments crocheted from yarn that I bought in Hawaii years ago. The lights are the white pine cone type -- I love them.

That's my festive undertaking while cookies are baking away.
