That would really be hard for me. I hope that you're coping well...

This is a sunset, but it could just as easily be a sunrise.......in a different place!

This will be my twentieth winter in the Arctic and I get to go home every couple of weeks and see the sun, if I'm lucky.

I've lived up here long enough that it doesn't bother me too much but coming from SoCal as kid it was alittle weird.

Preparing for winter is a no-brainer here. We'll be fine.

Just don't visit the Great Lakes region during winter.
A SoCal gal wouldn't survive.

I cropped the original file.

Good ol' Photoshop.

I used my regular zoom lens, which is 35 to 250mm, I think.

I like to use Photoshop to crop this sort of horizontal picture. It really makes the picture pop out.

I miss sunsets over the ocean, almost as much as I miss home and family. Tonight I had to give up finding a place to park with amenities (truck stop), and will spend the night in a Walmart parking lot. The view from the El Porto beach lot is much better.

Thank you for giving me a glimpse of home.

I'm so sorry you're so far from home tonight, sweetie...

Not a good way to start the New Year...

I'm really glad I was able to give you a peek of home...

Safe travels!
