11-year-old accused of being pregnant had massive tumor

Video at the link.

A 19-pound tumor was removed from an 11-year-old girl in Jacksonville, Fla., after she endured ridiculing from her classmates who thought she was pregnant.

Another example of how kids can be cruel.

Was the girl having sex? I wonder if she told her mother that she wasn't having sex, but her mother just kept testing her for pregnancy anyway. Luckily it was benign so the delay wasn't life threatening, but the child did suffer mental damage, both from the teasing and from the trauma of body integrity and image.

I will never forget, when I was in elementary school, my friend barfed in class. He was a big sort of chubby kid and another kid in class made a comment about that being why he puked. He said "well it had to come out sometime", the other kids laughed.

My friend had kidney disease and died that year.
