The sun went down here a long time ago. Almost time for bed. I long for the days when the sun was just going down here at this time. I hate winter.

Red sky at night, sailors delight.
When we see a red sky at night, this means that the setting sun is sending its light through a high concentration of dust particles. This usually indicates high pressure and stable air coming in from the west. Basically good weather will follow.

Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning.
A red sunrise reflects the dust particles of a system that has just passed from the west. This indicates that a storm system may be moving to the east. If the morning sky is a deep fiery red, it means a high water content in the atmosphere. So, rain is on its way.

No two are the same I tell her.

But any sunset is spectacular when you live in Cleveland.

Nice shots.

I live in a semi-rural area in NE Illinois. I think I'm real lucky that I get to see both beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Starting on Nov. 1 of 2012, I started getting up every morning and taking a sunrise picture over the lake that's in the middle of my town. I hope to put them all together into a slide show/movie when I'm done on Nov. 1, 2013. I need to start wearing my glasses when I go out there, LOL! Here is this mornings:

This guy Joe Lefevre just started shooting night shots of the Milky Way. This is a still that he shot at a 30 sec exposure. He then shot over 300 30 sec exposures and put them into a 15 second QuickTime movie. I wish he had that on his website, people were gasping how beautiful it was.
