Are there any weirder, more intense dogs than rat terriers?Katie does things only a terrier could understand. She is technically a Parson Russel terrier
I give you...the wonder terrier

(149,308 posts)I think she's a great dog, and is adept at making herself right at home......in your bed!
I love the look you're giving her in the second picture.......

(4,031 posts)She looks like such a sweet girl! I'm missing my Golden, who we had to put down right before Thanksgiving. I'm thinking about another dog...we always adopt rescues.

They are a breed apart

(6,001 posts)She's..something.If she was human I would call her a crackhead/meth freak.

(6,001 posts)Don't get me wrong..she isn't my budster but she is...something
She's ten megatons of energy in a twenty pound dog
She doesn't have the Budster to wear her out so she takes it out on me
She knows I'm sad so she plays with me.She keeps bringing me chewtoys to fight her over.

(4,031 posts)I know she misses her bud, as you do. I wish you peace in all this.

(6,001 posts)I know there will be another Budster or another Major somewhere. It's hard.Trust me..I know. You and I will both find another *soulmate* dog.Trust me...I know how hard it is but remember, there is a dog out there who is your soulmate who needs a home....remember who we lost...trust me...I think about him 24/7 right now...but remember...there are animals out there who need people like us to show them they can know love after all.
It will get better for both of us.

(4,031 posts)I hear you, and we'll both our next soulmates in a dog!

(6,001 posts)The Wonder terrier was one hour from being euthanized when i adopted her.Things work out over time.Karma has a way of putting us where we need to be when we need to be there.
We both hurt right now but I know when the time is right there will be another Budster in my life and it will happen for you too.
Don't be afraid to look.Go to your local shelter and just look. That's where I found the Budster...and where I found crackhead....err I mean Katie
They are there just waiting for people like us to welcome them into our lives.

(3,502 posts)The only consolation for losing a pet is that you can give a home to another animal who needs one and it sounds like your home is one of the best places a dog could hope to live. I hope your next soulmate shows up soon, but it does looke like Katie is doing her best to console you both.

(1,395 posts)sharing our bed with Sam the Welsh terrier, for the last 14 years. He loves to hog the pillows. He's right beside me now, sending greetings to Katie. He had that same crazy intense energy, but is slowing down a bit now.
