We got a Zenith color TV in '64 and that was hot stuff. Watched The Flintstones and Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color and Bonanza and The Jack Paar Show in color.
It was a console with record player on the
left side, TV in the middle, AM/FM radio on the right side.
My folks and sister drove GM products. We wouldn't be caught dead in a Ford or Chrysler--those were lousy cars. Dad drove Cadillacs and my sister the hot rodder had a GTO and later a 66 Sting Ray convertible. 427 cubes. Beautiful car. she and dad and her boyfriends took the block out and shaved the heads to increase the HP from 390 to 410.
And she'd pick me up from high school and the other kids wondered what that little nerd with glasses that actually studied was doing getting in that fine hot rod that her big sister drove.
