we get to claim southern,creole,southern rock,country,rockabilly,blues,soul,,,I love charleston and wont apologize anymore for living in the south.
We went fishing today and caught between us over 50 brim that weighed 2+....I caught a 26 pound channel cat....we caught several keeper(5+pound) bass...and we had a blast doing it.

I've decided to just put on ignore anyone who claimes the entire south is nothing but redneck racists and make my DU experience less stressful

2. As an Aiken, SC native...

now living in Kentucky...I hear you...and decided to simply ignore those people who insist they know more than we do about the areas we live in.

My parents had a beach house on Edisto Island many, many years ago and I have spent some wonderful times in that part of the world.

But you living in Charlston is kinda like me living in Tucson. Pretty progressive but we still have work to do because there are still a lot of dumb motherfuckers who live here. Case in point, my MIL lives iin an assisted living community. Almost all of the funds that pay for her expenses come from the government in one form or another. The people who run this facility, who depend, for their livleyhood on the income they recieve coming from the government, are teabaggers. Splain that to me? i can't.
