A weird question about Gilbert Godfried ... former high school teacher ?

I remember he once said he was a teacher in NY public high schools, but I'm wondering what school, and what subject(s) ...

I'm curious because I just checked out a math book in which the Acknowledgements list several HS teachers who tested the material in their classes ... GG (if it's the same guy) being one of them. The more famous GG is the voice of Digit in Cyberchase, an edutainment program on PBS which reflects the curriculum standards of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, so I'm wondering if that's the same guy.

I saw him a few months ago here in SF. I was driving into the City and saw a car pulled alongside the freeway. Traffic was very slow going by the vehicle. When I got near, I saw that a woman was taking a picture of a man with the downtown in the background. The man was Gilbert Godfried. The woman started walking away from the car with her camera, and he started to follow her. I was shocked at the way he was moving -- he looked incredibly frail -- stick thin, hunched over, shuffling like a sick old man. Very sad thing to see.
