1. Probably.

I think you would see more of a cooperative effort between a dem-leaning society than a red one.

Rick was the Sheriff of his town, so he was a natural leader when the apocalypse began. But you could see where that went when it stopped being a democracy. This whole last season revealed how cray-cray autocratic leaders get when they're surrounded by insane circumstances.

Democrats would be better at taking inventory of everyone's abilities, and trying to put them to work for the entire group.

After the intial botched responses by the governments and media, the entire world was almost completely overrun. However, the US put a stop on the zombie onslaught in California and started rebuilding from there. (the Rocky Mountains stopped many zombie herds from passing through, so left the west coast isolated from the rest of the US.) But, one thing they did was assess everybody's ability and put them to work where they were needed most for the war effort - i.e. service professions like accountants, lawyers, salespersons, etc, were often assigned to menial tasks, assembly lines, or cleanup, etc. From California, the reformed and retooled military then went step by step across the country, killing zombies and trying to save what remained of the living.

The book involves 'shamblers' (the 'George Romero'/"Walking Dead" zombies)...
The trailer i saw for WWZ was all about the "28 Days/Weeks Later" variety...

I liked the book. The movie does look pretty action-oriented. I've really only seen the "shambler" type zombies like the ones in "Walking Dead" and "Night of the Living Dead." Real just have to see what they do with Max Brooks'material.

Check out Zombie Fallout books- written by a guy from just south of Boston, Mark Tufo. Very New England type of characters/humor. It really comes through in the audio version.

I can't wait to see the movie.

The way is was written, seemed like the author was throwing in hipness and trying to impress people with how smart he was.
Plot was interesting.
