(8,217 posts)I fell in love with Shadow and it stuck.
Points go to the first one who knows the reference.

(18,497 posts)Shadow was the name of the older golden retriever.
At least in the remake.

(4,465 posts)Those dogs look like my Mollie. She was mixed with Pyrenees so her coat was whiter and furrier but that was what her face looked like and she was 100lbs- She was such a beauty. God I miss her.
Thanks for the video.

(72,300 posts)Byron loved swimming there.
Lady Leigh not so much. She would tremble when I took her for a swim.

(322 posts)As hard as that dog is to keep out of a body of water.
I still wonder if that was a planned slip.

(6,154 posts)We had a mixed Lab/Doberman beautiful short haired golden coloured dog. Friendliest, warmest dog on the planet. I remember once we took her swimming in the ocean, she fucking loved it. We went in with her and you could just see this smiling panting head making a B line in the water towards you. Thing is we had to keep our distance a bit because her paddling legs would scratch us if we got too close. She couldn't understand why we wouldn't let her get right up to us, so cute!
*sigh* good memories.
