1. I collect jazz 78s from the 20s, 30s, and 40s, so I chose this avatar last time I changed it.

2. I'm listed as a DVD producer on some products on amazon.com (which I didn't even know till I just googled myself - LOL).

3. Slept in, watched a bunch of Netflix, did laundry, took my 10 y.o. daughter clothes shopping, helped her put together a Lego thing, went to 4H with my 12 y.o. son, and now grilling steak & drinking Fat Tire.

4. Looking forward to 10U state softball tournament, county fair 4H exhibit & parade, etc., nephew's wedding, week at the cabin...can't think much beyond summer right now.

my best friend, who moved to germany nearly eight years ago, will be out here in three weeks. it's been a couple of years since she visited and it's the first time she's visited in the summer, so i am very excited about that.

we also have other friends visiting throughout the summer, so i'm expecting a lot of fun over the next three months.

It is a part of a tattoo I got shortly after b*sh was selected. I figured I would put it on my body with pride before the conservative f*cktards forced us to. Still not sure this country won't head that way yet!

That there are a lot more people with my name than you or I thought! And that I have fabulous friends that where cloths I have designed!

Sat around the house... on call this weekend! Transplanted Bleeding Hearts and Hostas in between thunderstorms... and kept my street from flooding by making sure the storm drains were cleared of thousands and thousands of maple seeds!

1) Why did you choose your current DU avatar?

Just recently changed my Avatar. It used to be a Canadian flag for obvious reasons. I've always loved dogs and I used to post in another forum all the time where I had a whole string of goofy looking dog Avatars. When it came time to change my avatar, I just decided to go with one of the ones I used there for a while.

2) What interesting thing would I find out about you if I knew your name and googled you?

My real name? Let's see. Yup just as I thought. Nothing. The name of an elementary school pops up as well as some geographic locations that have nothing to do with me.

3) What have you done with your weekend?

Started packing for our Vacation to Hawaii starting on Tuesday. Otherwise nothing.

Going to Hawaii in a few days as stated above. Hard to say what else. Might go camping later. I have to get my drivers licence, yes 31 with just a learners lol. Due to my emotional issues the rest of this year is very uncertain for me right now.

It is the work of a Mexican Cartoonist, Herzog, depicting the power of the state oppressing the people of Mexico.

Not much, since my work is not on Google. But I did an analysis of the pitot tube equations for air data probes on Shuttle, and discovered an equation singularity. I also did a study of .25Hz oscillations of the shuttle going around the HAC (Heading Alignment Cylinder) and tied them to Nav updates from TACAN air stations.

3) What have you done with your weekend?

Implemented Varnish caches for geolocation servers on Saturday. On Sunday, I did a 6 mile hike of the Blue Hills near Boston with a 25 lb. training pack, in 100+ degree weather.

My step daughter's wedding in Saltillo, Mexico.

1) Why did you choose your current DU avatar? I put it up for Valentine's Day 2012 and never changed it. I used to have another one that didn't transfer over to DU3 (the Wisconsin "fist&quot .

2) What interesting thing would I find out about you if I knew your name and googled you? Not much except teaching-related stuff. I did serve on a local/state commission once to find better ways to spend school funds. The only remarkable thing about that is that the state official who headed it is now a US Senator.

3) What have you done with your weekend? I bought and planted some flowers. I also read quite a bit and got some nice long naps.

4) What are you looking forward to doing, seeing, or trying later during this calendar year? Walking normally. I am going to work like a dog all summer to get rid of the cane and the limp. It's a picture of one of the flags of the Mi'kmaq tribe. One of my grandmothers (g-g-g) was, according to a cousin who has compiled a family genealogy, a full blooded Mi'kmaq. Plus it's colorful.

Absolutely nothing. For anything really interesting, I would have to actually tell you my life story.

Painted my Adirondack chair, wandered out to my pond to watch the frogs and minnows, did a lot of reading, helped Mr Pipi move stuff around in the living room in preparation for some home construction stuff we're doing this week, listened to music on my iPad, did laundry, did more laundry.

As with every year, looking forward to August, when the crickets chirp at night and the days are golden and mellow. Also, hurricane season, because I'm fascinated by them. I don't like that they cause so much death and destruction, but I can't help being overwhelmed with awe at their power.

3) What have you done with your weekend? I went bicycling in Brooklyn on the Shore Path, which runs along the (duh) shore, passing under the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. (Pro cycling tip: In the little shopping center near the end of the path, the pizza place also sells delicious oatmeal raisin cookies, and you can eat all you want guilt-free because, hey, you're cycling off those calories, right?) Since the itty_bitty_golf_cart_committee won ... we had to move a teak outdoors set of table and chairs ... so we also moved 3/4 of a blue stone patio. If there is a complaint about where the hammock is sitting ... the rest of the blue stone will get moved. The new Koi Pond is down to 2 foot in depth thanks to 5 carts of dirt being dug out and moved.

Completing the Pond and landscaping job around it. Perhaps ... moving my old Koi before the old house has a new owner. I hope they don't kill the fish!
