1. OK, that is brilliant, and...

FWIW a local ice creamery here has maple bacon as it's most demanded flavor. They are thinking about making it more than once every two months.

(I will tell you from personal experience that it is highly addictive.)

3. Bacon...it is said to be bad for you.

But that is not the worst thing I ever put in my body.
What can I say, except I love the stuff.
Not too sure about the ice cream flavored bacon, however I would be up for a sample.
Then again it never hurts to carry a jar of bacon bits around either.
