You know what really gets me about movies...

And I admit, it's probably trivial but....

How come when the movie is all about being in anything not civilized, like, you know, an apocalyptic show like Road Warrior or maybe a Space oater movie like the Alien series, all the women are grimed up,just like the guys, but when the gals, usually in a tank top, take aim with those huge guns we see a manicured underarm.

That's the line they just wont cross. Gotten have those bare underarms and hairless legs even though they are far, far away from fresh water let alone a showers with a lady Schick razor...

That's another line they won't cross. That's always bugged me about stories with medieaval settings. Their teeth would have been disgusting, black and missing.

With Milla Javovich.
I saw it once, and that is one thing that stood out for me for most of the movie.

I'll check that out.

Another one would be Name of the Rose with Sean Connery. All the monks were interestingly grotesque looking...

But that's Scotland for you. By an odd coincidence, I showed it to my wife a few weeks ago. She was fairly horrified and didn't enjoy the experience much. To make up for it, I was forced to watch some dreadfully boring chick flick about Audrey Hepburn faffing about Rome on a Vespa. It didn't even have any zombies in it or anything.

But she was already gagging early on at the toilet diving scene in "The Worst Toilet in Scotland". Girls, eh?

life has become product placement because the movies burn images into our brains about what we are supposed to be and look like .

Lately digi cartoon characters look and act more human than us meat puppets .

When I'm coming back home after a couple months of fighting back alien invaders, says Julia Roberts, first thing I reach for is my Lady Shic because nothing says you are back home then getting rid of that bush under my arms....
