Guys. Guys. Guys. Guess what? One of our favorite childhood animated series from the 90s is making its way to the big screen. Which one is it? I'm sure you have a million guesses but did you say...wait for it...

CAPTAIN PLANET AND THE PLANETEERS?!

First thing that comes to mind with this live-action adaptation is: Will Don Cheadle be available? Can we not just expand on the Funny or Die skit?

This isn't the first time we are hearing about such an idea. In fact, we brought it to you first in 2011 and now we're just getting a move on it. Turns out that Sony Pictures are picking up the rights to acquire the material. The adaptation will be produced by Mark Gordon, Don Murphy and Susan Montford.
