8. And probably union made

Since Miller entered into a joint venture with Coors, becoming MillerCoors LLC in 2007, the plant produces Coors Light and Keystone Light, which means if you see either in the Midwest or large portions on the East Coast, it's likely brewed by Local 2308 members.

"People need to know that," said Robin Pink, a 16-year maintenance technician and the local's Community Action Program representative. "It's one of our best-kept secrets."

"It's union beer when it's made here," added Ron Dalton, a 13-year maintenance technician.

And that's a lot better slogan than any ad agency could ever dream up

17. Coors had these hokey push tabs back in the late 70's

Show-off kids drinking beer had this trick of balling up a fist and using two knuckles to pop the little tab first and then the big tab. It took a while (many, many beers) to master this useless skill.

You could always tell a novice beer drinker (first indication is they drank Coors) by cuts on their knuckles from messing up the tab popping.

18. 'Painted Label' San Miguel, brewed in the Philippines was good, if it was really, really

cold. The labels were raised letters in the glass bottle, and painted white.

Painted Label, also called White Label is/was available only in parts of Asia. I found it in Korea, and of course, the Philippines.

They also had paper labels on their products from breweries in other countries.

White Label was really nasty if it wasn't cold, and some of the fermenting process continued after it was consumed - with some terrifying, and often unplanned, results.

I agree that Coors is not a very good beer. Predictably watery.
