(149,607 posts)The sojourn to fair Italy pleased me, but more pleasant was to come home!
Thank you for your good wishes...

Aristus
(66,328 posts)I was hoping you'd show up!
Sorry you can't have a few cold ones with us.
I'm afraid my knowledge of Forth Worth is about three decades out of date...

(9,077 posts)Their brews sound interesting, but breweries are always somewhat hyperbolic describing their beers.

Although, I'm not at all thrilled about being misquoted.
If my car's AC gets fixed today (or tomorrow) I'll be a happy camper next week, when we do it again.

Too hot for anything but TV. I even tried to find footage on youtube.

(72,300 posts)I'm too stubborn to give up when troubles make life difficult.
The company we are working for now is owned by two wonderful brothers. Some of the drivers have been there for a quarter of a century. Everyone works hard. Everyone is treated like family.
Some old time heavy haul drivers resent having an escort. Last night I told the one who was bragging about how many escorts he fired on one run out west ... I'm only here because the law requires us. The owner kept telling me what a great job I was doing. We only had two private escorts last night, everyone else was a company employee. I work per diem.

(72,300 posts)Not bad considering the circumstances.
The morning delay also caused another delay ... shutdown for an afternoon curfew. We spent more time waiting than we did driving. Never a dull moment.
