The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsAttention all wine-drinkers: this note's for you.
The Coravin Wine Access System draws wine from corked bottles while leaving the cork in place. Basically a game-changer, on sale today.
"The device combines an advanced needle with argon gas and pressure to remove wine from a bottle while leaving the cork in place and safeguarding the wine from oxidation. Wine drinkers can enjoy and share the same bottle during multiple occasions, over weeks, months or longer without wasting any wine. They can access multiple bottles during a single occasion."

(4,743 posts)A few places in NYC are already using them to sell single glasses of extraordinarily good wines - even at upwards of $50 a pour, it still makes a lot of great vintages much more accessible. I'd drop that much on a glass at the right restaurant, I simply couldn't afford the many hundreds of dollars the full bottle would cost.
