It usually takes a year or two with us before these dogs are merely eccentric.

The three dogs we have now were taken away from people who treated them like fashion accessories and then couldn't cope when the dogs refused to play along.

Our most recent dog spent five years chained in a backyard because his owners couldn't "control" him.

I'm pretty sure they never saw dogs as intelligent beings with feelings. They got the dog from a scummy breeder to make themselves look cool.

He's our worse dog ever so far, he peed in the house again today even though he's neutered. But he still likes people which is pretty amazing considering the life he's lived. He's a big teddy bear who knows we rescued him.
