Pardon my French: fuck me sideways! 2:03:23! New Marathon World Record

I literally stood up and shouted when I saw that.

You know what? Fuck the Republicans. Fuck the shutdown that's about to give me malaria.

I do not give a flying fuck. Wilson Kipsang has beaten the marathon world record by nearly half a minute.

I do not care at this minute how the Republicans are going to impoverish me or give me a tropical disease. I want to give this athlete his props for this out-fucking-standing performance.

On some mornings, it takes me that long to drive to work. Maybe I should start running.

Nah...

In all seriousness, that's an awesome accomplishment and it couldn't come at a better time for the people back home in Kenya.

Top Gear did a race between a car, driven by Jeremy in typical London morning (non-rush hour) traffic against a marathon runner (and not even that good a one) and the runner won by 15 minutes.

So I do not doubt that running (in some traffic conditions) is likely faster than driving.

Still, that guy ran at nearly 13 MPH. When I run on the treadmill, it's no more than 5 mph.
