and it's getting worse - the one at Tinypic uses actual commercial videos (with blaring sound all - fucking fuckers) and you have to type something related to the commercial to get past it.


I make a point to note which products are in the tinypic captcha commercials and never buy them.

but the old style ones with the LSD trip letters isn't much better - I rarely get one right the first try. Some I don't even attempt. Just hit reload.

Some sites use a simple math problem, like 11 + 8. Then there's the so-called honeypot approach, in which a form is placed somewhere where a human will never see it. As soon as a bot fills it in, it's busted.
