Strangely they never showed a close-up of Madonna or had her sing very long by herself. It was a huge production and had excellent dancers with great moves, nice lighting and effects, good moments for other singers, good song selection, no boring parts... overall it was a huge improvement over last year's show.

that always makes me smile...but I didn't think it was a very energetic show at all. I've seen Madonna be much better than that - dancing was dull and she sounded weak to me and I woulda' bet on every syllable being lip synced. (I'll defer to the experts though - I'm certainly not).

That was the first time I've heard the new song and I didn't care for it but I liked the other songs she selected.

Prince and Tom Petty are my faves from recent years. I wanted the Who to kill it but they just don't sound right without the Ox.


At any rate, Unexceptional Madonna was still better than total failure Black Eyed Peas.

The part that stuck out like a sore thumb was the cheerleaders. The best was Like A Prayer.


I heard that in a pre-game press conference she said that she 'couldn't be more nervous'.
