Just kidding, I'll say Naomi Klein. She's Canadian though so it might not work out. I think she might have dual citizenship or something, so maybe.

My instinct would be to draw from the entertainment world, as the names are already known to people. With the benefits and drawbacks inherent to that.

I would love to hear C. Walken give a state of the union address

Steven Colbert would be an intriguing figure as a president. Whether he stayed in character or not, it would make for interesting times.

Tina Fey. She seems smart enough to handle it, and then some. Plus the RW would be happy because they would think it was Palin.

Viggo Mortenson... Strider for president!

With longer consideration, I would probably turn to more local or less known figures.

Leonard Nimoy could be her Vice President and Official White House photographer, NSFW.

Pope Benedict would melt into a little puddle, and fundamentalist terrorists of all stripes around the world would be rendered impotent.

I'd be ready and willing to serve in either's Cabinet. Especially the latter.

Followed closely by Morgan Freeman. I mean really, can you imagine a Morgan Freeman State of the Union address?

Rachel Maddow as VP. Matt Damon as Sec. of Ed. Chris Rock as Sec. of Health and Human Services. Paul Krugman in Treasury. Al Franken as AG. Clooney could be Sec. of State.

Boy!
