Had an opportunity to revisit the old school Ultraman show with my son.

And when you watch it as an adult, some of the episodes are pretty disturbing. Zebra-striped aliens wearing fetish mask. A monster that sounds like a crying baby as it writhes on the ground in pain. And of course a silent, giant silver and red guy who looks over earth's shoulder, ready to jump in any second to brutalize creatures whose only offense is to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. No wonder we're so screwed up as a society.

Possibly just a coincidence.

For instance, El Santo always struck me as just pretty strange.

Luckily for us, US of A superheroes are crazy wild popular in Europe. Especially Batman, for some reason.

It's pretty hard to even come up with European superhero figures. Going way back there's some Spanish ones. A Doc Savage ripoff, a Shadow ripoff. Not much going on in that department.

One area of dominance!
