with Mrs. Hughes? The actor portraying her is excellent, she comes off so evil and mean. And the soon to be husband of Mary is not a good guy I fear. Don't think that wedding will happen. Also, did Bates kill his wife? So many questions...LOL..

Thomas infuriate me. Especially the relationship O'Brien has with Cora. Doesn't Cora know what O'Brien is like..... O'Brian made Cora lose her baby last season slipping on a bar of soap.... (did you mean to say Hughes is evil and mean, she is so nice, did you mix her up with O'Brien?)

I very much doubt Bates killed his wife, although he set himself up by saying to Robert he wishes it was the "late" mrs. bates. Also he came home with that scratch on his head...

Yeah, Mary's soon to be husband is already a creep, imagine if she marries him. he will ruin her. ewww.

Did Daisy tell Thomas about the Turk who died in the room with Mary? I forget how he knows.

I am so sorry about Matthew. I really like him.

As for Patrick, I don't have a feel yet if he is authentic. something tells me he's a fake, but I don't know. Amnesia? then he gets hit in the head again and remembers everything? hmmmm.

Here, this is fun:

get the Turk out of her room and Daisy either helped or observed. Poor Matthew is right but now that Lavinia (sp?) is back on the scene it could all be changed. Of course he is going to find out that Mary still loves him. If George Clooney stops by some Sunday evening, he will be ignored..LOL...

Daisy saw. And after that she was afraid to go into Lady Mary's room (where the Turk had died). And O'Brien told Lady Edith about Daisy's fears and Edith got Daisy in conversation and forced her to tell. I don't remember how Thomas found out. But remember, he propositioned the Turk prior, and was rebuffed.

I suspect that we may see Matthew marry Lavinia this season. But then I think something will happen to Lavinia that will allow an eventual marriage to Mary.

Does anyone else think that Thomas is O'Brian's illegitimate son? It would explain the nature of their relationship.

I don't think he was Patrick. If he was, he would have stayed to fight for the fortune that was rightfully his. However, if he was really Peter Gordon and was found out, he would have been facing a possible prison term for fraud under the UK laws of the time.

I believe he was Patrick Crawley's friend Peter who had just enough info to bluff his way into the house. He also knew (or could guess) that Edith was starved for affection. Whether Patrick really loved her and confided that to anyone, Edith will never know.

Peter saw an opportunity to gamble for a better station in life and a family to care for him, just at the moment he thought his life was ruined.
