Anyone else get verbally abused and lectured while out trick or treating?

Where I live, most houses don't give anything out, anyway. When I was growing up, almost every house was participating; now I think it's about 1 in 3. If people don't want to buy candy, no one is forcing them to, but there's no reason to buy it, offer it, and then whine like a grinchy asshole.

But I haven't been trick-or-treating since about 1972.
