Yikes.

Can't believe I've started 3 Lounge OPs today, and it's barely midafternoon. Not like me at all. But it's been an extremely eventful day, and the frosting on the cake happened around 1 p.m.

I had a freezer delivered from a major chain appliance store; it came from an equally major city a hundred miles or more from here. Yet that's only the story background. The young man who brought the freezer was gracious and professional, but the remarkable thing is that he looked for all the world like a combination Shemar Moore (Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds) and, get this - Barack Obama. By now most of you probably already know I'm a (basically) harmless little old lady, and I don't know if I should be embarrassed to admit this; but he was about the best looking young man I've ever seen IRL.

They say you know you're old when the cheeks you want to pinch are on either side of a nose!

Well, it was also nice to speak however briefly with someone who sounded like a well-brought up gentleman instead of a teabagger. I miss that. He said he renovates old houses like mine on the side; buys them, fixes them, then sells them as dear as possible. I say good for him. He's also smart to keep a day job, at least for the time being.
