Netscape is the company and it still exists as a email/homepage portal. Netscape Navigator was the browser.

AOL bought Netscape in 1998, with the provision that Netscape developers would be allowed to continue as a nonprofit research division. That division is Mozilla and from Mozilla came new browser software (initially named Phoenix) called Firefox.

The last official release of the Netscape Navigator browser was in 2007. You can find downloads of it here:
