(3,995 posts)But not a mini lift. She had a very good surgeon and it turned out well. I know she would say the worst part was when they removed the drains. I was in the waiting room and heard her yelp.
Do be careful. Make sure you talk to patients about your surgeon and look up reviews online. (If they pull too tight, it will disfigure your mouth.) Get second opinions (male surgeons tend to suggest more drastic changes the female surgeons.) Also, and most importantly, do not have surgery outside of a hospital. You want a doc who has on-site hospital privileges.

(56,177 posts)I was looking at min lifts mainly because they can do it with local anesthesia and the recovery time is less...talked with one woman who was rally pleased with this doctor, although the numbness still is there slightly..not sure I'd like that.

(5,857 posts)more than one mini-lift has turned into a full lift after the surgeon started because otherwise you would get bad results.

(3,818 posts)thermage? Maybe you don't need a facelift. Swimming and weight-lifting are great for firming the face muscles too.

does it keep working or do you have to keep going back for treatments?

(3,818 posts)But I was thinking I would like to try it if I could find a place that does it that has very satisfied clients. If you google it you will
find a lot of info in your area. What I've learned about it is that it can take up to six months to see the full results. I'm guessing because the initial treatment stimulates collagen production and that can take up to six months. I don't know how long the results last. As far as the Lifestyle Lift (they got many bad reviews) I wouldn't only let a board-certified plastic surgeon touch my face and the best one I could find in my area. Actually, my dentist told me who to go too if I ever decide to do that! I guess all of his friends' wives go to that one and he's seen his work.
