Feed a cold or starve a cold?

We have sick people in this household and it brings me back to this argument I hear every cold/flu season. Some say it's best to eat while sick, or does digestion simply divert energy from fighting of illness?

A cold is a virus and therefore not much in the way of meds is going to help (at least not when the phrase first originated anyway) and a fever indicated some type of infection so take some meds.
