Saw a disturbing video online this morning...

Several of our daughter's 15-year-old friends playing beer pong from Saturday night titled 'So drunk...'

Our daughter was out of town this weekend, so there's no doubt that she wasn't there; and I would hope that placed into this situation she would make the right decision and not succumb to the peer pressure. I know it's tough to be that age.

It disturbs me that not only are these kids drinking at such a young age, however they are post this stuff to social media.

I showed my wife this morning and she was equally as troubled.

Tonight we're going to have the underage drinking/peer pressure discussion with our daughter again and decide how we handle this.

Someone needs to contact the parent's of your daughter's friends before something awful happens. There are far worse things than a hangover.

It's going to take a delicate approach here so that potential backlash is not taken out on our daughter.

It's unbelievable what kids are willing to do these days in order to be vindictive against their peers.

There was a similar situation that transpired earlier in the year that one young female has yet to recover from after the torment she received.

However I do agree that something needs to be done to intervene the situation. This is too young to be binge drinking.

Additionally, there's a lesson to be learned on social media protocol.

The worst part is, I know these kids. They're intelligent. Four of them are high honor roll students with National Honor's Society accreditations.

Sigh.

Are you or your wife friends with any of the parents of these children?

Another thing these teens haven't thought about is the fact that they've recorded themselves breaking the law.
IMO: The video should be pulled from public view as soon as possible!

...that laws are being skirted here.

One of which being the implications to the parents whose child was hosting.

We do know several of the parents whose kids are involved, its a small town. Our kids play hours league soccer together during the summer.

Im contemplating using a concerned third party who 'stumbled' upon the video on their own...

Not sure yet. I need my wife's input.

Well, that's my evening ahead...

that would keep your name -- and your daughter -- out of it completely.

School, or social services or the police? Are there any that are trustworthy to handle in an appropriate manner?

We live in a small town community, so it won't take long once we approach the proper individuals to handle the situation.

Like I said, this is about protecting everyone involved; including our daughter. So it needs to be handled delicately.
