If I had friends or family on MH370 I'd be furious that authorities waited till now to search

pilot's house. When a plane disappears without a mayday would it not be better that the event be treated from the getgo as a potential hijacking and the flight crew and passengers be immediately investigated?

1. Yes. I bet they will in the future, though.

It used to be that parents weren't the first ones looked at in the death of a child, because it seemed inconceivable that parents would harm their offspring. Now, of course, they are the first ones the police look at.

If the pilot was the hijacker, he probably did an Adam Lanza and destroyed all devices with incriminating evidence. If I were investigating, I'd be studying his youtube videos for any covert messages they might contain to others.

2. What an apt comparison. Your probably right about evidence being destroyed but

there is always a chance some clue remains especially as it now comes out that the pilots family moved out of hte family home the day before the flight.

3. I think the whole world is pretty much furious with the way they've handled this.

There is information they had that, had they released it sooner, would have led to searching the correct areas very early on.

They not only wasted time, they wasted several other already not terribly well off countries' precious resources searching the wrong areas.

All possibilities should have been considered from the beginning.

5. me too. and one of the things that occurred to me early on is

why was a search not underway when the plane failed to make contact with Vietnam's air traffic control? They signed off with Malaysian air traffic control. They were supposed to next sign on with Vietnam air traffic control. When they didn't show up, why wasn't the airline aware that they hadn't checked in?

Also, before they signed off, the AWAR system had already been disabled. Didn't anybody notice that they were no longer getting auto-communications from the AWAR system? From what I've read, that system continuously reports back to the airline fuel levels and other data so that if the airplane needs any kind of service at it's next landing point, they can have parts and materials ready.

The plane was missing by 1:30am, but nobody noticed it was missing until it didn't show up at 8:30am? That makes. no. sense. And, to quote Judge Judy, if it doesn't make sense, it's a lie.

6. What is also strange is that Malay air force were aware

that a plane that went silent flew over its air space but that it didn't scramble a fighter jet because they know it to be a friendly air craft. Very poor judgement. Also poor judgement or worse is that the person who decided not to scramble a fighter plane did not pipe up when MH370 was reported as missing..
