Two years older but I still have no identification with the gen that grew up in the 50's and early 60's.

I always think of myself as actually belonging to a generation they did not bother to label. And that is OK with me as I am not much of a joiner.

These categories are so arbitrary My parents were more boomer types, even though they were born just before WWII. They grew up in the fifties listening to rock and roll music.

My SO is younger than I am, in chronology is a Gen Xer, but she's the daughter of a WWII veteran, so is she a Boomer instead? Confusing.
