Alfred Hitchcock is still worth watching.

Westerns were huge at that time, and mostly sponsored by cigarette companies, who used them to tie smoking to masculinity (remember the Marlboro Man?).

And I wore a fringed Davy Crockett shirt and coonskin hat .

In the '60s I was riding my bike down the street when a motorcade happened to pass. The news that night said it was Kennedy taking Khruschev to Disneyland.

And the Beav rules!

We had a big Dodge that was mostly light green, with a section of dark green striping. And big light green fins. It looked weird even back then.

I took my driving test in it and failed the parallel parking because I couldn't see past the fins in the back. Fortunately, the examiner agreed and passed me.

It's a lot smarter than most of what's on now. I wish the local "retro" channel would run it at a better time than 5:00 on Saturday mornings.
