I'm looking for some recommendations for good restaurants in the French Quarter or Warehouse District. I just ate at Mulate's. They had some really good food. I have a few more days to check out the town.

(78,249 posts)many fine dining establishments are a streetcar or bus ride away, especially along St. Charles, Canal and Magazine streets. They are often cheaper, and filled with New Orleanians rather than visitors. Possibly the largest concentration of these is in Carrollton, right where the St. Charles streetcar turns right off St. Charles onto Carrollton Ave. Get off at Maple, and come hungry.

They are pricey, though.
