Ok, so I posted about US/European art appreciation in a Lounge style and

That got me to wondering about Michaelangelo's David and why it is so highly regarded.

The thing is that there is another renaissance statue of David and it has everything going for it; allow me to introduce -

I prefer this one too - the face, the expression, the body in motion; I find it the most pleasing. This is the David I'd want in my corner (and maybe somewhere else, teehee).

But he's not completely nude. Maybe that's why it wasn't popular at the time??
