A Large Sausage
The Hackin is the name for the large sausage eaten on Christmas morning. The Hackin must be boiled by daybreak or else two young men must take the maiden (i.e. the cook, the youngest woman of the household who was given the duty) by the arms and run her around the marketplace until she is ashamed of her laziness.
