1. Pam has a heart to heart with Eric.

Damn. She says that she felt Tara meet the true death. She would know. That means that if Tara returns to the show, it will be as something other than a vampire.

Flashback of Eric and some French woman in a vineyard. Looks like another gratuitous sex scene. Oh, harridan interruptus. Hmm. It's Pam and Eric being scolded by the previous gestapo woman that belonged to "The Authority".

This seems to be some background information about the origin of True Blood.

19. I was bugged by that whole scene

It was like Eric had some other great love that wasn't mentioned until now and honestly, I wasn't buying it. I got the impression that in general Eric didn't get romantically attached to humans. His feelings for Sookie existed because technically she was only part human and part extremely tasty lunch for vampires.

I did like the 80s style hairdos though!

22. There was something weird about that scene.

Like, maybe we weren't getting the whole backstory. And there is emphasis on backstory because this whole story line seems to have popped out of no where.

2. Oh, they're giving Pam good lines.

3. Alcide just finished the longest shower in the history of showers.

Now he's showing that in his wolf state, he can follow Sookie's scent and chase down a moving car that's had a good head start.

4. Sookie takes Vampire Bill's blood.

The fairy daughter is sprung from jail. Sheriff and Jessica realize they're dealing with mob madness.

Sam is in a church pew getting all philosophical/spiritual about life and death. The conversation is interrupted by Tara's mother going cray-cray.

5. Sam is ambushed.

He's in a truck and drives right into the mob that wants to shoot anything that is different than they are. And they mean it. They kill a vampire to show they mean it.

Sam has to morph as an owl to escape.

6. In the depth of all this chaos, Jason is thinking of settling down and starting a family.

?

Apparently, the female vamp is not impressed. The Jessica/Sheriff/fairy daughter group interrupts the conversation to enlist Jason's help.

20. I'm hoping she meets the true death. I almost kinda liked her but in the end it didn't take

She's just wrong for Jason on so many levels. I hope that in the end it's Jason and Jessica together forever. I have a feeling that Jessica's boyfriend (whose name escapes me) is going to be the one for Lafayette.

23. I can see that happening.

On the other hand, it did feel like there may have been some foreshadowing of a suicide for Lafayette.

7. Lafayetee.

Finally, an entertaining soul in all the madness. New James comes in and tells Lafayette that he has a thing for Jessica. Lafayette is taking pills. Lots of them. He plans to get it in his blood system so that New James can get some kind of high.

8. Meanwhile, the vampires who have Arlene are getting desperate.

They select the witch to be a part of some plan.

9. Sookie is offering herself as bait.

Bill is up in a tree, prepared to jump in to protect her if they succeed.

Bill wants to know how serious she is about Alcide. We discover that Sookie knows that Alcide is a good person, but she is afraid that he loves her, more than she loves him.

24. Whoops! I fixed it.

10. Sheriff group is in driving down the backroads and come

up on Sam's truck. The mob descends on them, but the sheriff group appears to holding them off with guns.

Oh, bad move. Hoyt's mama starts something. Shoots Jessica, which makes the female vamp attack her and literally rips her heart out. Mama Hoyt is finally out.

11. Lafayette and New James are getting high.

12. Alcide and Sam bump into each other in the woods.

Both morph back into humans, but there is someone in the woods with a gun.

13. Sookie and Bill still chatting up a storm.

Sookie talks about the agony of waiting for something that she knows will be uncomfortable, which gives Bill a reason to reflect back to a moment he had with his daughter when he posed for family tint types.

Sookie tries to speed up the bait effect by drawing blood.

14. Back to the Tara mom arc.

Priest willingly gives his blood to the female vamp. Willa? He basically tells her she has to leave because she's too much of a temptation for Tara's mom. So, he sends her away.

15. "What the hell is your malfunction?"

Lafayette and New James are bonding. L seems to have a thing for NJ. But, NJ lets him know that his interest is Jessica.

16. Back to the flashback? with Eric and Pam in the french vineyard.

The Japanese authority are there to retaliate against Eric. They give him a Sophie's Choice between Pam and the human that he seemed to be infatuated with. He offers himself. But, no go. He picks Pam so they kill the girl.

And that's the end of the flashback. Now, in present time, Pam asks him if he drank the tainted blood on purpose. She wanted to know if he regretted making the choice he made that night. Pam pleads with him to choose life. Eric sends her away.

Pam gives him a reason to live. She tells him that Newlon (The girl at the beginning of the show) is still alive. It works. Eric gets up and tells Pam, "Well, let's go get her."

17. Namaste. Newlon is with her Yoga master in a biblical way.

Instead of yadda, yadda, yadday, it's yogga, yogga, yogga philosphicking.

The Japanese authorities walk in on the yoga master while Newlon is selecting a bottle of wine. The yoga master gets beheaded because he doesn't turn her in.

18. Holly the witch shows up to take the Sookie bait. The vampires attack.

For a second it looks like Bill is subdued by the vampires, but suddenly, everyone shows up to protect Sookie. The sheriff group and alcide.

Alcide just has a moment to scold Eric when he gets shot and killed.

That's the end.
