It's been 2 years since we've been there and restaurants (actual restaurants) come and go quick. I did a search on urbanspoon but Cracker Barrel gets an 87% rating there.
We have found that mostly Myrtle Beach is a food desert in terms of quality. We know we are going to Calabash and wait an hour no matter what time we go (tourist trap).
10 years ago DU hit it out of the park for our trip to Key West. Hoping for some more magic.

This is our favorite place near Myrtle Beach-- it's gorgeous, and you can have a light, good lunch there:

if you go to Aspen Grille- tell the owner how you found his place- he'll be confused, but he'll laugh. He's a lib.

(205,319 posts)Umberto's at Barefoot Landing http://www.umbertos.com/ and Benito's Brick Oven Pizza http://www.benitosnmb.com/. We were there in April and I still have the numbers on my phone. I also like the Waffle Houses, LOL, and The China Dragon http://www.chinadragonnmb.com/ in North Myrtle Beach isn't bad and they deliver. I'd like to hear about others that people liked, too. Have fun!
p.s. And the site I use to do research is usually Trip Advisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/
