How do I access True Detective from my t.v.

I realize it's available through HBOgo.com if you download an app on your I-phone, but I want to see it on the big t.v. screen. If I have a smart Samsung box, what do I have to do to watch the series? Anyone know?

I'm probably going to call my cable provider to find out how to do it because I already pay for HBO.

ROKU has tons of channels. I loaded Free Speech TV, HBOGo, AmazonInstantVideo , PBS and of course Netflix.

You can also get Netflix using Xbox or Wii but I don't know about HBOGo.

I used to watch HBOGo on my laptop also. You can watch it on your PC too.
to do this go to HBO's website and click on HBOGo. You will be prompted for your service provider and other information. It is pretty easy. Your laptop or PC will have a much bigger screen than the phone.

ROKU is not very expensive and I have really enjoyed having it.

They don't offer any HBO content on demand? Ours did years ago but we got rid of it and got a Roku.

If like us you are borrowing an HBOgo password you can get a Roku or a playstation and watch that way.Roku is a lot cheaper of course.

Usually it will say "ON DEMAND,"

But I didn't think to go into HBO to see if the series was available for free.

Thanks for the idea.

Usually about 1-2 months after the season ends they will continute to show the current season On-Demand but then will drop it after that time period. I think they do it to help build excitement about people buying the DVD/Blue Ray, which comes out about 2 months before the next season starts.

However, on HBOGO they show all the seasons all the time.

Why they do that - I don't have a clue. I know Showtime did the same thing with Weeds.

It's a TV streaming unit that I also get Netflix, Hulu and a host of other channels. What's nice with AppleTV is if you have Itunes and music in it - you could also play your music thru your TV set. Since I have a decent sound system with my TV, I'll stream my Itunes thru there as I clean house.

However...

If the cost is too much there are other streaming systems out there but check ahead of time before you buy to confirm they do have HBO GO.

And watched it through my PS3, which also plays blu rays.

Hope you can find it. It's amazing.
