(73,631 posts)I've never taken an illegal narcotic in my entire life. That was my choice. Yet, despite that, it doesn't give me any reason to be self-righteous about the choices of others.
The Bidens are going through a tough time right now, so a little sympathy would be in order.

(11,914 posts)In this, Joe and Jill are parents having to deal with this, and no matter what, your kids are always your kids -- whether they're 10yo or 40 yo.
What would I do or how would my husband and I deal with it? I have no idea and I hope I never, ever have to find out. My kids are 21 and 14yo. I would be willing to make a bet that Joe and Beau had fleeting thoughts wishing that they could whack some sense into Hunter. I know that's what I felt when I saw the headline in our paper this morning.

A Maricopa County grand jury today indicted four people, including the son of the U.S. senator,
on dozens of felony and misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals. This, stemming from the
June tragedy at the Green Acre Dog Boarding facility in Gilbert.
Todd and Maleisa Hughes stand accused of 22 felonies and seven misdemeanor counts of
cruelty to animals and one felony count of fraud.
Their daughter-in-law Logan and her husband, Austin Flake are charged are each charged
with 21 felony counts and 7 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.
