A kinda like a little salty flavor with chocolate. Chocolate covered pretzels are a weakness of mine.
Of course, YMMV.

I love salted chocolates and caramel, but I once had a sea-salt caramel ice cream which was almost inedible because of the saltiness. The result looked a lot like this:

However, a little bit really tones down the sweetness and brings out more subtle flavors in the chocolate. It's much nicer for those of us whose sweet tooths (teeth? Sounds weird...) can't handle normal milk chocolate.

Especially if one finishes up with a small chunk of orange chocolate. The assholes that try to promote dark chocolate with red wine should be shot!

they don't hold a candle to a fine bar of dark chocolate with genuine orange rind pieces included. Lindt makes a pretty good one at a reasonable price. Lindt also makes one with sea salt, but it pales in comparison to an odd labeled one that made it into our household. She Who Must Be Obeyed can't remember the name, or where it even came from. Bummer.

Some stores carry them only seasonally, at Christmas, and I found some at CVS. When I went back after Christmas I bought their last three packages at half price.

And dark roasted beans right hot out of the roaster need no chocolate to improve them. A real treat back in the day was a visit to Graffeo Coffee where my friend would spill out a bunch of hot beans onto the counter to enjoy nibbling on while he weighed, ground and bagged my order.

That being said, I would never say no to chocolate covered coffee beans. Perhaps I should visit CVS and look for them, especially after the ACL of U told the manager he can't keep me out of their crappy store.

I shouldn't, but may try it. (If it's in the house, I'll EAT it! LOVE dark chocolate, and my favorite brand, cote d'or, is difficult to find.)

And thanks for reminding me of THIS (ALMOST the same.) >

Now have to try to find mine!

and do a twist of that 'Coals to Newcastle' thing to boot.

Drinking a glass of overpriced Opus One has been on my bucket list for many, many years. Now, if I can just get the Concord flying again I could hit the 'Trifecta'.

Godot will show up first.

It WAS fast, I'll say that for it. Less than 3 hours London-NYC, but it was cramped and left a carbon footprint that must have stretched from New York to Maputo.
