So you're mountaineering on the Taihang Mountain

and you ask your guide how do we get up to the next level - easy, he says, take the stairs. Note the people on the second spiral from top to get a perspective.

there is absolutely nothing waiting at the top of that that would make it worth the climb.

Do a Google image search of Taihung Mountains and you might reach a different conclusion.

However, it looks like that spiral staircase might be the easiest part of the climb
