Finally saw Terry Gilliam's "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"
and that is one of the funniest, weirdest movies I have ever seen. Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro turned in performances for the ages. Depp WAS Hunter S. Thompson - the look, the rat-a-tat speech patterns and the completely unhinged feel of the Gonzo master.
"Wait till you start seeing those goddam bats!" indeed.
