(56,828 posts)and, yes, it's all his fault... well, Steve Ditko was involved, too.

(54,369 posts)So Stan bears the brunt.
And thanks, by the way!

(56,828 posts)being one of the creators of Spider-Man is good for your longevity - both are still alive and Stan Lee is in his 90s and Steve Ditko is 87.

(25,816 posts)I won't be able to start reading until Saturday--work is kicking my butt. But I skimmed a bit and it looks like a lot of fun!
And there's this review on the back cover by Stan Lee: "Hey Marc - I hate you! Now I can't even look at a glass of wine
without thinking of your furshlugginer story!!!"
Now I have to go look up furshligginer.
Congrats and Happy Birthday.

(54,369 posts)Don't let his Beverly Hills address fool you. He remains the Jewish kid from Brooklyn he always was at heart.
I'll give you the autograph the next time we meet up in person, deal?
And thanks!

(8,217 posts)Happy Birthday! Belatedly.
the time difference isn't THAT great. It's still March 19th here in Germany, so you're right on time!
Happy Birthday!
I was wrong then. I thought you meant the 18th, since your post shows "Yesterday" in my browser.
DFW
(54,369 posts)It was just past midnight here, so already the 19th. Still the 18th back in North America.

(54,369 posts)I actually took the day off, and stayed all 24 hours in THE SAME COUNTRY! Enough is enough, and there was some serious cake demolishing to do. Not only my wife's Spidey cake, but also a torte with fresh raspberries I had brought from Belgium, but an apricot torte too.
We then joined some friends and went to an Indian-Bangladeshi restaurant here in our little suburb of Düsseldorf and just got back. My wife is making espresso, and then we'll call it a (birth-)day.

(10,893 posts)normally one of my favorite colors on cake, but that right there doesn't look appetizing at all.

(54,369 posts)It tasted better than it looked. The blue covering was a thin layer of marzipan.
