True story...

Last week I was in the supermarket when a woman recognized me and started chatting me up... Turns out she's one of my very first high school girlfriends, and we hadn't seen nor heard from each other since 1994(!)

I'm wondering if that's some kind of unofficial lounge record....

I was last year.

She was "Miss May" back then, in 1966.

But yeah, she recognized me!
Well, I was somewhat of an unholy terror...

I had such a penchant for long-haired musicians back in the day that my Brit grandma called them "bloody riff raff"

I say a few years but I think he was working on Fahrenheit 9/11 so more than a few.

While I was waiting outside a police officer came over and asked me I was (he knew my name). We were in the 6th grade together.

That would have been in 1973. Now admittedly there was some extra attention thrown my way that year but how anyone could recognize me well over 30 years later amazes me. I really did not and do not think I look anything like I did when I was 12 years old.
