Some friend, my wife and I were out a few weeks ago and we just happen to notice how many selfies had been taken at the restaurant as well as how many of just our own table updated facebook/twitter/reddit account updated during the course of the evening post location, meal orders, like and dislike of the meal.
My wife who really isn't into all this. She does have a facebook account but it is set so only certain family and friend can see the account. She does read certain twitter accounts on her computer but she isn't that much into it and she quietly wonder at the table?
"How narcissistic will future generations find this era?"
This spurred a debate that I bring here.

(5,604 posts)Though not technically evolution, and only 'here to stay' as long as society maintains and reinforces our current acceptance of superficiality, and a sufficient level of creature comfort and leisure time.
