Wife apparently had a smoke on the sofa overnight and fell asleep with the cigarette still burning in her hand. It ignited the blanket she was snuggled under, which produced a heckuva lot of smoke. When I woke up and saw what was going on, I ripped the blanket off of Ginny, carried it into the bathroom, threw it in the tub, and turned on the faucet. Then I dragged Ginny out of the front door so she could get some fresh air and opened all the doors and windows to ventilate the place. Got singed a little, but I saved my wife, our critters, and the apartment. All before breakfast.
