Remember when Presidential candidates were nominated

at the Conventions. Don't remember why it stopped. I do remember when Jack Kennedy was nominated, I think it was one of those staying up late to find out who won the nomination. Think it was stopped because of a "smoky back room" thing. But looking back comparing the present day process (with the super pacs) to being nominated at a convention, maybe it wasn't so bad after all. Just my thoughts.
