1. It is so easy to get dragged down by that, my dear Aristus...

I hear you, I really do.

It's just so hard sometimes.

But remember.........we still have love, and good times...

5. OK

LTH: "Why can't you eat a clown?"

Aristus: "I don't know."

LTH: "Because they taste funny."

Ba dump bump.

I know, I know, I'm easily amused.

9. Ah, I didn't know that line was adlibbed!

It's perfect!

Oh, and this scene. SO funny.......SO painful.

You probably already know....but they didn't believe Gene Hackman could do comedy, so he had to audition to get this part!

Sheer genius.

10. According to Mel Brooks, it was an adlib which caused him to do a spit take.

I heard Hackman just showed up during casting call and asked to do a read. This right after scoring an Oscar for The French Connection. But yeah, I can understand "Gene Hackman, comedy? Gimme a break." Good comedy: Good acting chops plus perfect timing.

Freakin' brilliant scene. "Espresso"

13. Thanks for that...

I used to watch Kylie Minogue videos on MTV-UK when I was in the Army. We got the station via satellite to our base in Germany. This was in the early 90's. Nobody in the States had ever heard of her back then...
