The article says they only stole $50,000 worth of semen. You know what the little ink tube in a Bic pen looks like, right? That's how they package semen - and you need one per cow. At $40 per straw (which is average for semen from a quality bull) there were 1250 straws stolen...maybe two pounds of semen, definitely not two THOUSAND pounds of it!
